Welcome!

Hi, I'm Andy and this is my website for GDES 116! :)

The original goal for this website was to code it entirely from scratch, and I had a lot of features I wanted to add. However, I'm not really into coding or design... so I ran into some problems with this. I still didn't want to use a website builder, though, since I've had issues with them in the past, and I'm considering coming back to this site when I feel a bit more confident with my HTML/CSS/Java knowledge (just to tie up loose ends, yknow). Luckily, I was able to find an excellent free resource for coding a Neocities site, which will be linked in the Credits page, if anybody else would like to check it out. I'm not entirely sure if I'll go back to fix up this site, but I'll at least add a portfolio page someday.

As for what this site is for, you could check out the classwork page to see some of the stuff I've made for GDES 116. I didn't include everything, as I didn't like all of the assignments. I am unable to embed my Vimeo video as I took it down (I didn't want to publicly post footage of my real life home. Also, even if I could still embed the video, Neocities is a public site). As for the rest of them, they all included the work of others. While I feel fine using this for class in assignments only a limited amount of people will see, I refuse to post them on a public site. The diptych was made with somebody else's photographs, which I admit was my fault as I didn't want to share my face. However, the collage assignment had such a high amount of required images that I don't know how I was intended to do it without stealing for it. I included my typography assignment even though I hate what I did for it, because at least it didn't involve stealing from others. Also I felt fine including the sprites in my infographic because more people should steal from Nintendo specifically. I did include my unfinished "I HATE GRAPHIC DESIGN" project, because I feel like it's some of my better work. I've also got an about page, which talks about me. And, as mentioned previously, I've got some links in my credits page for anybody who wants 'em. I also credited the scanning blog I got my header from, and an extra coding resource I chose to not use but can be handy for any aspiring webdevs. The FAQ page doesn't actually have any frequently asked questions, it's just me using my imagination. You can also look at a cool and relevant image below.

Please do not look at this site on mobile. It looks bad and I am not fixing it.
